2017 Valentine Grenache - Heathcote

 

Sourced from the Mount Camel Ranges in northern section of Heathcote. Handpicked and refrigerated for 2 days.

1/3rd remained as whole bunches for whole bunch fermentation; 2/3rds was destemmed and a few whole bunches (~5%) remained in the ferment.

2 week ferment (1 plunge and/or pumpover per day), 2 week post-ferment maceration, pressed to barrel for MLF.

6 month maturation in old (6/7 year) french oak barriques.

Racked twice and no filtration or fining to bottle.

Crunchy acid and tannin profile compliment the bright juicy fruit.
